So where were we ?
Well, what started as 74 Music and a sideline project amongst many other things (book writing, teaching, writing in the wonderful BN1 Magazine - www.bn1magazine.co.uk ) very soon shifted shape quicker than you can say doppelganger into 74 Promotions with the introduction of the aforementioned James Caan to the stable.
I was asked by one of James's companies, Change Marketing, if I would be willing to promote "Brand Caan" for James through the 74 stable. It took all of 10 seconds to recognise the opportunity and agree. James had no one looking at advertising opportunities, promotions, endorsements, new television series.....nothing. So the mantle passed over to me and 74 Promotions was born with the hope and idea that through initially James it would grow into a viable, expandable and successful business handling the image and promotion of celebrities across the board. Alongside this (and utilising the experience from it) would sit the music business, combining the two as we went.
So I'm now deep into exploring ideas, concepts and willingly taking suggestions as how to promote James with some fantastic (I think) possibilities about to come to some kind of fruition, including what I believe to be a very exciting television idea. More on that as it develops.
I'm also talking to a number of companies for potential endorsements, including looking at the possibility of starting a James Caan "Autograph" range of suits.
I love the idea of promoting James currently - I honestly believe he has a very "sellable" image right now - seen as an ethical, responsible and considerate investor, rather than the more cut-throat styles of Alan Sugar and Peter Jones etc., he fits with the feel of our times.
Naturally any other ideas, leads or suggestions will always be very gratefully received - everyone knows someone out there that might be able to help !
I got some exciting news today about another potential opportunity for 74 Promotions which is slightly leftfield but could be a whole world of fun. Can't say that much just yet, but fingers crossed it'll take off.
